Lottoland - Your Questions Answered

I've received quite a few emails recently regarding Lottoland.

So many in fact that I thought it might be beneficial to all if I did a quick Q&A session.

Q: How can Lottoland sell tickets for so many different lotteries?

A: Lottoland are not actually a lottery ticket seller. When you buy a ticket you are in effect placing a bet on the outcome of your chosen lottery. If your numbers come up you win the prize amount just as if you had bought a traditional ticket.

Q: How is it possible for Lottoland to offer discounted tickets?

A: Due to the fact that Lottoland are allowing you to place a bet on the outcome of the draw, rather than buying a ticket in the actual draw, they are not governed by official lottery prices. This allows them to undercut the usual ticket prices and give you a better deal.

Q: Is this legal?

A: Yes. Very much so. We would not recommend anything without researching it first...and neither I'm assuming would Chris Tarrant! Lottoland (EU Lotto Ltd) is fully is licensed by the Government of Gibraltar and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner to offer bets on the outcomes of lotteries (licence number RGL 066) and to offer scratch cards (licence number RGL 085). They are also officially licensed by the UK Gambling Commission (licence number 38991).

Q: Will I really get paid if I win?

A: Absolutely! In order for Lottoland (EU Lotto Ltd) to keep their UK Gambling Commission licence they have to prove that they are able to make all required payments to players on all the prizes they offer. Jackpots, and other large prizes, are insured by the Emirate AG...A Federal Financial Supervisory Authority certified company based in Munich.

Q: Do I only win a prize if I match all the numbers?

A: No. Not at all. The prizes paid are exactly the same as if you had bought a traditional ticket. For example, if you picked numbers 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 and the draw result was 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 18 - 43, you would be paid the prize for matching four numbers.

I hope that clears up any questions / concerns you might have had. However, if you still have something you need clarifying please don't hesitate to drop me an email or use the Live Chat feature on the Lottoland website.
